The most difficult is the first job offer (for simplicity, you can use the mind maps). In it you need to answer a simple question: “Why what I will write further is important.” Usually they write that such a problem is important, because very few people wrote about it. Or they were written by many famous scientists, but you saw in it what they did not see. Or they applied a well-known method on unknown texts and obtained significant results. Significant – that is, different from the usual and capable of influencing the further development of the hypothesis. This is called “scientific novelty.” Works without scientific novelty are abstracts. That is, if you just listed what points of view there are on different scientists for some problem, this is bad. If you have managed to systematize them somehow, identify patterns, describe the reasons – it is already better, there is an element of independent work. But such work still loses the work, in which there is an independent study of the material.
If you write about an author or a work that is not widely known, in the first paragraph you should give a brief information: dates of life, country of residence, literary direction, why the author and the problem you have posed should be interesting to the reader.
Do not be afraid to indicate in the introduction what you are going to do: “in this article we will look at”, “our work is dedicated”, etc. This is a very good and comfortable pace. By the way, they help to clearly define the topic of work: since they promised they would have to do it.
If there is less than 10,000 characters in the work, the introduction should not exceed 1 paragraph and should not contain a retelling of all works ever written on your topic. A bad introduction is one that takes up two-thirds of the entire text and contains general words about the importance of the particular science you are studying. In short, the introduction should be clear, specific and small. Those who will read or listen to your work, they themselves know about the importance of the science that you do: they do the same. A “lyric” is contrary to the genre of a scientific article.
